Are sales roles still a good choice for the next generations, or should they look elsewhere?

Our world is always changing; there will always be difficult and challenging times; I talk with Dr Oliver Jenkin of the value of our young people looking at a career in a sales role.

Careers and business roles change, some are lost, some change and take on new aspects and challenges, sales has seen more than most in the last couple of decades.

Social values, education, information technology, environmental issues, and buying habits all have changed and will continue to change. We discuss some of the challenges, the public perception, social dilemmas, and the media’s portrayal of sales.

We look at what is needed to succeed in a sales role beyond state education. Emotional intelligence, an understanding of human Psychology, strong Interpersonal skills, a dedication to life long learning. How best do we communicate this to those that may be considering their opportunities?
